Po-Nashomu
Means, "in our way" or loosely means "our kind (of people)".
This website is dedicated to all of "our kind of people" YOU!
Welcome to the
Hrabchak Family Website!
As you will see, I have changed the spelling of our family name to Hrabchak and some of you may be wondering
why. The answer is that Hrabchak is officially the correct update of the spelling of our name and just as the families
in Ukraine use that spelling, so too would have Anton and Parinka if they had stayed in Ukraine. In their honour I decided
to change the spelling from the Polish spelling back to it's original Ukrainian - thus Hrabchak!
A wonderful friend of mine Judy Hrynenko and her husband have made
several trips to Ukraine. You can visit her own website of her first trip to Ukraine 3 years ago here: "Can You Hear the Poplars"
And as of Monday September 19, 2005 - very big "Thank-you" goes to Ihor Voronchak
(our researcher in Ukraine) and Vitaliy Vandrovych (our translator in MA, USA). They
are long time friends who work together to help families find their living relatives in Ukraine and were instrumental
in gathering up the family information for us from the archives in Borschiv, Ukraine & the church records from Lanivtsi,
Ukraine - for our Anton and Parascevia Hrabchak.
Anton and Parascevia Hrabchak also have there own page where eventually will have more of their personal
history from when they lived in Lanivtsi, Ukraine. Visit their webpage here:

Some families know a great deal about their roots; others know very little. The Hrapchak Family History
- Vichnaya Pam'yat book has been the gift of knowing who all our relatives are. Who we are.
This site is an attempt to keep our amazing family together. Here you will be kept up to date on what
has happened since our reunion, new "goals" for the Hrabchak family, information on the ongoing research, family updates,
pictures and personal family webpages. All this and more will be included in this site. In these
modern times, families tend to be scattered all over the country, if not the world. One of the goals of this web site is to
help our family stay connected even though we live far apart.
Since most of the research for Anton and Parinka Hrabchak's descendents has been completed with the book, my current
focus is to find long lost relatives of Anton and Parinka's in Ukraine and Canada as well as finding out more about
their life on their homestead in Saskatchewan. The picture below is an aerial
view of their homestead, buildings and all!
This is a work in progress and I am not a computer expert, so please contact me if I'm missing some information, if a
link doesn't work or if you have any information that might help round out the picture. In the meantime, please enjoy
your stay and visit often.

Acknowledgments
I would like to once again, thank my mother, Frances Schoenfelder (Hrapchak) for passing on this torch of genealogy.
Her passion for family has been an inspiration and one that takes over my soul and fills it with the desire of wanting
to know more. She has been a constant support and cries, laughs and squeels in delight right along with me as we
find new pieces of our Family History. I am proud to say that the Hrabczak Family History continues.
